Our Mission
CAPE is an IUD sexual health clinic in Edmonton that openly explores conversations around birth control, sexual health, and gender-affirming care. We work with people who have uteruses to support them to make informed decisions about their own health and body.
We provide accessible IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals for free or a significantly reduced price for anyone who does not have the funding or financial resources to afford one - including (but not limited to) newcomers to Canada, those who are experiencing unstable housing, those who use substances, the 2SLGBTQ+ community, students, and youth.
Our Team
We are an entirely volunteer-run team. We all have a passion for helping individuals with uteruses who are in need of sexual healthcare services but do not have the resources.
Our doctor has several years of IUD insertion experience and all of our staff are committed to the best outcome and future of our patients.

Located in the heart of the city on Jasper Avenue, we are easily accessible from all major bus routes. Due to COVID, Nexplanon and IUD consults/insertions are presently being done by Dr. Hoffart and her team at Shifa Medical Clinic 101-4222 Gateway BLVD (beside Nando's/Volcano/LA Fitness).

If you have a family doctor or access to a walk-in clinic, please have your doctor fax a consult to Dr. Hoffart at 780-438-7710. If you don't have access to a family doctor or just have questions for us, feel free to self-refer by using our online contact form page. All inquiries are strictly confidential. Please expect a call back within 1 week of submission - of note, the call may come from a PRIVATE number.

We are unable to provide other ob-gyn services, pregnancy terminations, or prenatal care. We can provide referrals to these services as needed.
